Home of the Awendaw Blue Crab Festival

Town of Awendaw South Carolina

On the day of the festival, come and enjoy the great taste of delicious blue crabs,
cooked by the talented cooks of Awendaw. Get your steamed crabs by the bucket, or
try the succulent fried crabs. In addition to the crabs, there will be fried fish, chicken
drummettes, Frogmore stew, hot dogs, hamburgers, and French fries. We guarantee
you need not leave hungry. There will be lots of beverages to quench your thirst, plus
great entertainment.

Handmade crafts will be on display by various local vendors. Vendors welcome; call
928-3100 to reserve your space for $35.00. There will be something for every member
of your family to see and enjoy.

* The Town of Awendaw will not be hosting a 2008 Blue Crab Festival. The facility
were the event is held will be closed for at least two years and unfortunately, no
other location in the Town would be able to accommodate the event. The Town
Council made the decision to cancel the festival. We would like to thank you for your
continued interest in our Blue Crab Festival. We hope to sponsor future festivals
that will allow you to enjoy our beautiful community, great food, and southern
hospitality.
